Getting Involved

Are you interested in helping the learners at Rukonga Vision School? Great! Here are some ways you can get involved in the school.

#1: Donate to my involvement at the school by visiting www.worldteach.org and select the "Donate Now" button at the top.  Make sure you enter "Rachel Mayer" in the volunteer field, and Namibia in the country field.  I will get the money to buy things I see a need for at RVS.  This donation is tax deductible.

#2: You can also mail a check to my house in the States, and my parents will deposit it, so that I can spend it on the school! This donation is not tax deductible, but it will get to me quickly, and I will only spend it on needs of the school. 

#3: Supplies can also be mailed to our P.O. Box:

Bulk Items (that would be helpful to all 240 learners):
Sneakers

*Can't be purchased in Namibia

#4: Donate your frequent flier miles.  Especially if you have some you're not going to use, frequent flier miles will help me to be able to continue to teach at RVS for another year.  Any miles you have help bring me from NY back to Namibia.
